Day-1- the Journey to Kidepo Valley Park:
The 7 Day Kidepo Valley Park – Murchison Falls Park Wildlife Safari begins. We pick you up at your accommodation in Kampala for your 7 Day Wildlife Safari into the African Wilderness.
Our Destination for the day is the town of Kitgum in Northern Uganda . The journey will be an all-day one with lunch along the way and a reason Kidepo Valley Park is the unvisited park in Uganda. Those that are hardy and determined enough to make the arduous journey are rewarded by some of the most wildlife abundant and scenic parks in East Africa.
In the late afternoon we arrive at Fugly’s Hotel in Kitgum where we check in and you can take advantage of the pool and take a refreshing and rewarding Swim. Fugly’s is a moderately priced hotel accommodation and it is the best in the Kitgum area.
Dinner at Fugly’s which is known for good and ample food in the area and a favorite with ex-pats who live in the area working with various NGO’s.

Day- 2 Kidepo Valley Park:
Early morning breakfast at Fugly’s and then we are off to Kidepo Valley National Park – the most remote and unvisited wildlife park in East Africa. We arrive at Nga’ Moru Wilderness Camp before lunch where we check in to one of the tents or Cottages.
The rooms are self-contained with bath, and no matter whether you stay in a Cottage or Tent there is a magnificent view of the park all around you. Even having lunch you will see wildlife while enjoying your meal. This is the wilderness and you are right in it at Nga’ Moru Wilderness Camp.
Afternoon – Guided Nature Walk – Hike during which one can see a lot of wildlife accompanied by a Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger who knows the paths you will be on and the wildlife and where to find it on that day. Always remember that you are in the wild and what you will see is unpredictable but always most enjoyable.
Dinner at Nga’ Moru Wilderness Camp where you will enjoy the sunset and the sights and sounds of the African Night in the Wilderness of Kidepo Valley National Park

Day 3 – Kidepo Valley Park:
Arise to a nice breakfast and a cup of coffee or tea while you peruse the landscape and wildlife around you in the remotest corner of Uganda and yet it is in class and style. The perfect African dream vacation.
Early Morning Game Drive through the Narus Valley where you will see herds of buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras and hopefully some lions, leopard and the elusive cheetah.
Besides that there are many birds you might find along the way. This is a slow drive so that you do not miss anything, stopping wherever you wish to take pictures of the fabulous wildlife and birds, fauna and flora along the way. Most likely the only thing you will find is wildlife, birds and scenery and no people in this remote part of Uganda. for
Return to Nga’ Moru for lunch and enjoy the comfort of the lodge in remote Africa.
Lunch at Nga’ Moru Wilderness Camp and then it off for an afternoon with Karamojong people for a cultural tour as to how this proud tribe that has refused most influences for change. Their love for cattle is comparable to the better known Maasai of Kenya and Tanzania. Their ways are unique to them and they are a proud warrior like people who believe that is their God-given right to all the cattle, even cattle belonging to others. You will see how they live, how they prepare food, dance, enjoy life and what their cattle means to them.
Return to Nga’ Moru Wilderness Camp for dinner and a quiet night in the wilderness, or should one say, a night where the only music are the sounds of the African night in Kidepo Park.

We are off to Karankorog Hot Springs with lots of wildlife along the way. No game drive is the same even if you took the same route twice, there is always something new to seen and found. The scenery, animals, birds will amaze you and it is best to keep the camera close at hand to get the best shots along the way.
Lunch at Nga Moru Wilderness Camp and once again it will delight your senses.
Late afternoon game drive through Kidepo Valley, its rugged beauty, wildlife and birds. This is our last game drive at Kidepo Valley-enjoy.

Day 5 – Journey to Murchison Falls Park :
An Early morning breakfast and we are off for Murchison Falls National Park at 6:30 am as we continue our seven-day wildlife Safari – this is an all day trip with lunch in Gulu at the Acholi Inn.
We arrive in the late afternoon at Fort Murchison overlooking the River Nile, self-contained with bath spacious rooms and once again wildlife comes through the camp – here you can see a lot of elephants.
Fort Murchison offers you Rooms with bath, rooms that are quite spacious and comfortable for the price. The food is excellent here which on Safari is an added Plus. You have great views from the restaurant – lounge area to the Nile and it includes the wildlife that lives here.
Optional: Take a Nocturnal Game Drive here seeing the predators on the prow such as Lions, Leopards, Hyenas, and others. It is one of the highlights of Murchison Falls and we can include it in your safari in Murchison Falls Park.

Day 6 – Murchison Falls Park:
Early morning game drive after or before breakfast and more wildlife in Uganda such as endangered Giraffe Herds that number up to 50 in number. Elephant herds that are often quite large, Lions Leopards returning from a night’s prowl, large herds of antelopes including Uganda Kob. Buffalo Herds, warthogs, hyenas, Hippos returning to the water from grazing all night, Patas Monkeys, Monitor Lizards, bush pigs, Rock Pythons at rare times sunning on the road, all in this Borassus Palm Tree studded savanna.
Even as you head back from the game drive – it will seem like more of a game drive as you head for Fort Murchison Lodge.
Lunch
In the afternoon boat ride up the Nile river…you will love it and it is always one of the highlights of a Murchison Falls Safari. You might even see the elusive Shoebill stork along the shore, there are plenty of hippos and the large Nile crocodiles for you to see along with buffalos, herds of elephants and more. On your boat safari you will also see Elephant Herds, Buffalo herds, monitor lizards, antelopes and water birds of many kind including the Goliath Heron, Cormorants and more.
You approach the falls and stop just below them, the sounds and the sights are awesome coming from, on a nearby sandbank crocodiles are basking in the afternoon sun, and pods of hippos resting in the waters of the Nile.
At the bottom of the falls we disembark and hike up to the top of the most powerful waterfall in the world, this will take about 45 minutes, after looking at the Nile tumbling down the Albertine Rift Escarpment your driver-guide will meet you here for your return to Fort Murchison.

Day 7 – Chimpanzee and Rhino Trekking:
Early morning breakfast and we cross the Nile at 7 am on our way to Budongo Forest and chimpanzee trekking in the largest Mahogany Forest in East Africa. The Chimpanzee Trek is normally about 2 1/2 hours in length, small group of participants are with you and you spend one hour with chimpanzee group.
It is best to wear hiking boots, have a daypack with bottled water and some dried fruit or granola bars, long trousers, long-sleeved shirt, light rain jacket in daypack and a hat would be good to wear.
The Budongo Forest Chimpanzees are under the care of the Jane Goodall Institute and Uganda Wildlife Authority. Your chance to see chimpanzees
Lunch at Budongo Eco-Lodge
After lunch we proceed to the nearby Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where we track the Rhinos on foot with a Guide from Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
We return to Kampala arriving by early evening.
