This Luxury Safari gives you some of the best opportunities for wildlife viewing Queen Elizabeth Park with an emphasis on the Lions. This can be a Fly-In Safari to Queen Elizabeth Park instead of driving to and from the Park.
This Safari can be can be combined with Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Gorilla Trekking, Kibale Forest Chimpanzee Trekking, Lake Mburo National Park.
The two lodges for this Safari were picked for their location in the wilderness and near Lion Hunting Grounds. Kasenyi Safari frequently has lions drop by for a visit and on truly lives here among Lions.
Please Note: This Safari can be a Fly-In Safari from Entebbe instead of a road trip. It can also be an add-on to Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
4 Day Luxury Lion Wildlife Safari – Queen Elizabeth Park in Detail:
Day 1 – Queen Elizabeth Park:
Depart your lodging in Kampala for Queen Elizabeth Park at 6:30 am – heading for Queen Elizabeth Park and your Tented Safari Camp Adventure in the Wild. Drive through the Ugandan countryside as we head for Queen Elizabeth National Park.
It is a six-hour drive to Queen Elizabeth park through the scenic Ugandan countryside and we arrive at lunchtime at Kasenyi Safari Camp, in the heart of the Lion Country in the northern region of Queen Elizabeth National Park.
This is a small intimate lodge of four tented cottages overlooking a crater lake and the Kasenyi Plains where there is an abundance of lions and other predators that can be found here. Wildlife including lions visit this lodge making it more than a place to sleep but a wilderness experience that is amazing.
In the late afternoon, it is time for your first Wildlife Tracking Ride with Wildlife and Bird Expert who will not let you miss a thing and answer any questions you might have. Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffaloes, Antelopes will be seen in abundance as you ride across the Savannah.
Go to sleep to the sounds of-of roaring lions near and far.

Lodge: Kasenyi Safari Camp
Kasenyi Safari Camp is small, intimate upmarket Safari on the edge of the Kasensyi Plains overlooking a Crater Lake. the rooms are spacious permanent Tented Cottages on elevated platforms with en-suite Bath. You have a deck where you can sit and watch wildlife pass through the camp including lions.
For this safari, we have chosen Kasenyi Safari Camp in particular due to the abundance of wildlife, including lions that are found here.
The main lodge is comfortable spot to take in meals and have a drink on the spacious dek found here. The lodge is one where you experience the African Wilderness firsthand and up close.
The lodge is well-known for the wildlife that passes through the camp.

Day 2 – Queen Elizabeth Park:
Lion Tracking Research – venture out early in the morning with researchers and tracking equipment to search out and see the collared lions in the northern area of Queen Elizabeth Park. This is a project carried out by the Uganda Wildlife Authority and the Uganda Carnivore Program.
In the afternoon we go down to Kazinga Channel for the Boat Safari that takes place and is one of the highlights of your time in Queen Elizabeth Park.
You will see hundreds of different water-birds, herds of elephants coming to water, buffaloes, antelopes and in the late afternoon, one might see some predators quenching their thirst before they head out on their night prowl.

Day 3 – Ishasha – Queen Elizabeth Park:
This morning we move to the Ishasha Plains in the southern section of Queen Elizabeth Park. The Lion adventure continues since this home to the Tree Climbing Lions that are found here.
Ishasha is also home to the fabulous exclusive Ishasha Wilderness Camp situated along the Ntungwe River where you will be able to see a lot of wildlife either from your tent or from the lodge itself.
This is a great place in the Wilderness where you can have lunch while watching the Elephants come to the River and Bat
Afternoon Game Drive in search of the Tree-Climbing Lions of Ishasha – the lions climb up the trees in the morning after returning from a night’s hunt and sleep most of the day away.
After the Game Drive, it is time for a Sundowner and snack in the wilderness provided by Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp.

Lodge: Ishasha Wilderness Camp
Ishasha Wilderness Tented Camp is the only Lodge within the park in the Ishasha Region of Queen Elizabeth Park. It is the exclusive Luxury Lodge of distinction and the stay here is one of the highlights of your Safari in the park. Your Spacious Luxury Tent with en-suite Bath has large windows through which you can see the surrounding Wilderness. The room is tastefully furnished with large windows giving you a view of the River and Park with its wildlife.
The service is first-Class as is the food served here at the Main Lodge or down by the River. A Bush Breakfast or Sundowner can be arranged by us at an extra cost, the experience is well worth it.
You can visit some of the projects that Ishasha Wilderness Camp supports such as Elephant trenches that keep elephants away from the farms of the communities surrounding the park.

Day 4 -Ishasha – return to Kampala:
Bush Breakfast – another unique experience in the wilderness – afterward, the last game drive, in search of the lions of Ishasha who climb into the trees after sunrise
4 Day Luxury Lion Wildlife Safari – Queen Elizabeth Park comes to an as we head for Kampala – stop for lunch in Mbarara – a visit and stop at the equator, and then the Royal Drum Makers, you can even pick up a few for a memory of Uganda.
