Day – 1 -Welcome to Uganda:
We meet and greet you at Entebbe International Airport as your 10 Day – Africa as it used to be Honeymoon Safari in Uganda begins. Take a 10 minute drive from the airport to 2 Friends Beach Hotel which is right on Lake Victoria with great views of the lake, a swimming pool and upmarket rooms. The Staff is welcoming, friendly and helpful to ensure your comfort as you begin your Honeymoon.
The Food served in the Restaurant will be most enjoyable and the Wine List is extensive.
A welcoming Basket awaits you in your room – all to make your time on your honeymoon Safari more enjoyable as you get settled in for your first day in Uganda – the Pearl of Africa.

Day 2 – Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary:
Breakfast and we take you to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary which is a 3 1/2 hour drive through Kampala and the verdant Ugandan countryside to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary where you check into Amuka Lodge, a small upmarket lodge with deluxe tented cottages, a veranda to sit and have a cup of Ugandan coffee. The tented cottages were made using local material and logs from a nearby abandoned sawmill.
There is a small swimming pool for you to enjoy during your time here. The food is great and there is a variety of wines and refreshments to choose from.
Lunch
After lunch you trek the Rhinos on foot with rangers from Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. You come within 10 meters of the Rhinos as you observe them and are able to take great pictures of these massive animals.

Early Breakfast and we continue our journey to Kidepo Valley Park arriving here around lunchtime. The journey to the park is through diverse and different terrain than what you have seen thus far in Uganda.
Lunch at Fugly’s Hotel in Kitgum
We arrive in Kidepo Valley Park where we check into the exclusive, upmarket Apoka Safari Lodge which is located inside of the park. The rooms are in large Tented Cottages with bath, outside soaking tubs, views of Kidepo Valley Park and wildlife enters the lodge area.
The food and service is simply class at Apoka Lodge. Visitors to Kidepo Valley simply love Apoka Safari Lodge – the pool, the stunning views of the rugged scenery all-around – the stillness only broken by the sounds of the African Wild. Apoka Safari Lodge is like an oasis – a luxurious place of rest and relaxation after a day out on game drives, hikes in Kidepo Valley Park.
Sunset Game drive near the Lodge where you just might see the predators going on the hunt for the night. Kidepo Valley Park Lions, Leopards and Cheetahs besides smaller predators. The wildlife in this remote park is thriving, one reason being its remoteness.

Day 4 – Kidepo Valley Park:
Breakfast
Morning Game Drive through the Narus Valley where you will see herds of buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras and hopefully some lions, leopard and the elusive cheetah. Besides, the many birds you might find along the way. This is a slow drive so that you do not miss anything, stopping wherever you wish to take pictures of the fabulous wildlife and birds, fauna and flora along the way.
After lunch it is off to another exciting game drive across savannah, hills, small forests, dry river beds and always the rings of mountains around you. Animals and birds to observe, plants and trees that will amaze you as they exist in this semi-arid region of Uganda.
We are off to Karankorog Hot Springs with lots of wildlife along the way. No game drive is the same even if you took the same route twice, there is always something new to seen and found. The scenery, animals, birds that will amaze you and it is best to keep the camera close at hand to get the best shots along the way.
Day 5 – Kidepo Valley Park:
Arise to a fabulous breakfast and a cup of coffee or tea while you look at the landscape and wildlife around you in the remotest corner of Uganda and yet it is in class and style. The perfect African dream vacation.
Morning Nature walk in Kidepo Valley Park with Rangers and guide to point out the wildlife that you just might miss along the way. This is a three-hour venture where you see Kidepo Valley Park Up close.
Lunch at the Lodge and then it off for an afternoon with the Karamojong people living in their Manyatta for a cultural tour about how this proud tribe that has refused most influences for change. Their love for cattle is comparable to the better known Maasai of Kenya and Tanzania. Their ways are unique to them and they are a proud warrior like people who believe that is their God-given right to cattle, even cattle belonging to others. You will see how they live, how they prepare food, dance, enjoy life and what their cattle means to them.

Day 6 – Hike up the Morungole Mountains to the Ik People:
Breakfast and afterwards drive to the starting point of your hike up the Morungole Mountains to the most isolated and remote tribe in Uganda – the Ik People. There are 11,000 of them living in villages above Kidepo Valley. There are stunning views into Kenya and the Rift Valley. This is an 8 hour round-trip hike. There are no roads here, only paths to take and they are definitely off of the beaten tourist path. You are accompanied by guards and guides along with an interpreter so that you can interact with the Ik People.
You will need a daypack, hiking boots, a packed lunch, 3 liters of water, long trousers, long-sleeved shirt, hat, light rain-jacket.
Since you are on your honeymoon you enjoying that a bride’s price here is paid in beehives. The Ik used to live in the Valley below but did not like the cattle raids from neighboring tribes and moved up into the remote hills where they keep up gardens, raise goats and chickens, harvest wild honey, and live to the beat of a different drummer. (one young woman has gone to University and in 2016 the Ik have a representative in Parliament)

Breakfast and we leave for Murchison Falls National Park – Lunch in Gulu after which we continue to Chobe Safari Lodge at Murchison Falls is a 5 Star Resort that is simply exceptional and almost all overlook the historic River Nile.
Take a dip into the fabulous swimming pool or relax at the type of room that you picked, all have a deck or balcony where you can relax in the shade while reading an enjoyable book.
Dinner at Chobe Safari Lodge in a most delightful setting – afterwards sit outside of your room and take in the sounds of the African Night in the bush.
You have a choice of having a room, standard tent (there is nothing standard about it) or deluxe tent. There are also two cottages to choose from including the exclusive Presidential Cottage.

Day 8 – Murchison Falls Park:
There is nothing like a Breakfast at Chobe Safari Lodge – enjoy another day in the African Wild of Uganda.
After a leisurely breakfast we take the journey to Paraa Lodge. This drive 3 hour drive is like a game drive since you will see much wildlife along the way and your driver-guide will stop for you to get the best view and for you to take pictures. There is a pop-up roof in the vehicle so that you can stand and maximize the enjoyment of what you see before you.
We check into Paraa Lodge which is a sister lodge of Chobe Safari Lodge. You have a choice here of the standard rooms, rooms with air-conditioning, suites, Tented Cottages or the fabulous Queen’s Cottage which is like a private retreat down by the Nile River.
Paraa Lodge is the best lodge at Murchison Falls Park when it comes to location – it is conveniently near all major activities in the park such as game drives, boat rides and fishing for Nile Perch.
Lunch
Late Afternoon Game Drive with Uganda Wildlife Authority Ranger on board of vehicle to point out wildlife and birds that you might otherwise miss. See large herds of Elephants and Rothschild Giraffes and Cape Buffaloes here, antelopes of various kind in great numbers, Lions, the occasional Leopard, Savannah Birds, Warthogs, Hyenas and much more.

Day 9 – Murchison Falls park:
Hot Air Balloon Safari at the Crack of Dawn and see Murchison Falls Park from above. You skim along above the tree-tops and not much is missed during your Hot Air Balloon Safari. You can see herds of Giraffe, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, even on the hunt and more.
Afterwards enjoy a Champagne Bush Breakfast prepared for you by Chefs from Paraa Lodge.
Lunch at Paraa Lodge – relax by the pool, sit on your balcony or veranda with a good book like Abyssinian Chronicles and enjoy the day.Late Afternoon Game Drive – each game drive is a different experience and we do not hurry you along, since this is a private safari, you are in control of the vehicle and the game drive.

Day 10: Breakfast and we take the morning boat launch up the River Nile where you will see countless of hippos, crocodiles, elephant herds, buffaloes, antelopes, monitor lizards and water birds. This is one of the highlights at Murchison Falls.
At the bottom of the falls we disembark and take a guided climb up besides the falls with guide being cooled down by the mist from the falls. At the top of the falls you are met by your driver guide and the 10 Day – Africa as it used to be Honeymoon Safari in Uganda comes to an end as we drive to Entebbe, stopping for lunch at the Masindi Hotel which is the oldest Hotel in Uganda and opened in 1923.
Arrive in Entebbe in the late afternoon – we can arrange for a dinner before your flight out. In case that you fly out the following day, we can arrange for accommodations for the night.
