You can swim in the pool or the lake where no crocodiles or hippos are found making it a safe place and no bilharzia, crocodiles or 
hippos as in other lakes in Uganda making it simply a great place to relax for a day or two, we have had clients that have stayed here for five days and loved each day.
The food is excellent and you will find the best Belgian Fries here, Uganda is a country where people love chips but good fries are seldom found in Uganda– however Birdnest Resort will give you Fries beyond expectations. Crayfish is on the menu prepared in various ways and manners since Lake Bunyonyi is the best lake in Uganda for them and it is specialty here , try the crayfish pasta that will delight your palate.
It seems one of the favorite dishes is whole Tilapia prepared just right, the lake only contains only lung-fish, which is eaten by Ugandans, the Tilapia Fish is brought from other lakes nearby and fresh.
