Rushaga Gorilla Camp – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest opened up in 2015 offering moderately priced tented cottages with bath and lower priced rooms with shared bath. Sumptuous, tasty meals and cold drinks are offered in the main lodge, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Rushaga Gorilla Camp – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest overlooks Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – and the surrounding area. The lodge is within walking distance of the Rushaga Area Uganda Wildlife Authority Headquarter giving easy access to your gorilla trek and the trailhead for your trek.
There are many lodges in or near Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, most are priced higher giving similar or lesser value than Rushaga Gorilla Camp for more money. Rushaga Gorilla Camp – Bwindi Impenetrable Forest offers clean rooms with
bath, nicely furnished with rough-hewn beds that blend with the surroundings of Bwindi Forest. All rooms and deluxe cottages come with bath, the showers work nicely according to guests that have stayed here. Due to the Lava rock of the southern area of Bwindi Forest – some lodges have to get their water from afar.
Rooms also have a small sitting area where you can sit and write, get on your laptop, tablet or smartphone.
One of the extra plus items for those that want to stay plugged into the world and be in touch with friends and family, free WiFi is available. One cannot always guarantee the speed of the internet but WiFi is available.
Tasty meals are prepared for you – many of them Ugandan style with a Ugandan touch. Though the Staff at the lodge is new, they have picked up customer service skills. The Lodge even raises its own Tilapia Fish in several ponds on their six-acre property
Packed lunches are prepared for you in the kitchen for your Gorilla Trek and walk down to the Trailhead.
The Lodge has mountain bikes available if you have any energy left after the gorilla trek, or you might prefer sitting on the sun terrace and have a cold drink.
